Reverse description Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left on a throne with back, his muscular torso nude and his lower body draped, holding a long sceptre upright in his left hand and extending his right hand to support an eagle perched with wings closed. The throne legs are elaborately detailed, and a small forepart of a horse or symbol appears in the lower left field as a mint control mark. The vertical Greek legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs downward to the right of Zeus, and an additional control symbol or monogram appears in the lower right field, consistent with the Sikyonian mint issue as catalogued under Price 724.
