Reverse description Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left upon a low backless throne, his himation draped across his lap and lower body; his outstretched right hand bears a perched eagle, while his left hand rests upon a tall sceptre. The Greek legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs to the right of the figure. In the left field appears the chelys (lyre) monogram, and below the throne the control letter Γ. The composition follows the canonical posthumous Alexandrine reverse type, with fine detail in the throne's construction and the god's drapery.
