| Beschrijving voorzijde | Youthful, beardless head of Heracles facing right, portrayed with idealized Classical features, wearing the Nemean lion skin headdress with the scalp drawn over the crown and the forepaws knotted at the throat. The finely rendered curling hair escapes beneath the lion skin at the temple and nape. The portrait is set within a dotted border and occupies the full flan, rendered in high relief characteristic of early Pella coinage. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left on a backless throne, his nude torso draped from the waist, an eagle perched on his outstretched right hand and a long sceptre held upright in his left. The Greek legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the right field, and a control monogram appears in the left field. The composition follows the canonical Alexandrine reverse type established at Pella. |
