| Reverse description | Zeus Aetophoros seated left on a throne with a high back, his upper body nude, lower body draped, holding an eagle perched on his outstretched right hand and a long scepter in his left. The Greek legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs downward along the left field. A control letter Beta (Β) appears beneath the throne in the lower field. The whole composition is set within a linear border consistent with Macedonian posthumous coinage of the late third to early second century BC. |
