Obverse description Youthful bare head of Heracles facing right, depicted beardless with idealized heroic features, wearing the Nemean lion skin headdress, the scalp with open jaws framing the upper cranium and the pelt falling loosely behind. The hair is rendered in tight curling locks about the temple and ear. The workmanship reflects the refined Hellenistic die-cutting tradition of posthumous Alexandrine coinage, with strong portraiture in high relief against a smooth field.

Reverse description Zeus Aetophoros enthroned left on a backless throne, his nude torso draped at the waist, holding an eagle with wings folded on his extended right hand and a long sceptre upright in his left hand. In the left field, the mint ethnic ΜΥΡΙ is inscribed vertically, accompanied below by an amphora serving as a secondary mint control symbol. The principal legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the right field, identifying the issue as struck in the name of Alexander the Great.
