The facial features are rendered with fine detail in the Lysippan tradition, displaying a strong, youthful profile. The lionskin mane is depicted with deeply engraved, naturalistically rendered fur framing the face. The field is plain, with no inscription on the obverse. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left, his muscular torso nude and his lower body draped, seated upon a high-backed throne with ornate legs. In his extended right hand he holds an eagle with wings spread, while his left hand rests upon a long vertical sceptre. The legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ appears in the lower field below the throne, with ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ running upward along the right field. A eight-pointed star appears as a control symbol in the lower left field, and a triangular delta control mark is placed beneath the throne. |
