Obverse description Head of the deified Herakles facing right, wearing the lionskin headdress, the scalp tied beneath the chin with the forepaws knotted at the neck. The facial features are rendered with fine detail in the Lysippan tradition, displaying a strong, youthful profile. The lionskin mane is depicted with deeply engraved, naturalistically rendered fur framing the face. The field is plain, with no inscription on the obverse.
