Reverse description Zeus Aëtophoros seated in left profile on a high-backed throne adorned with a beaded rail, his muscular torso bare and his lower body draped in a himation. In his extended right hand he holds an eagle perched with wings folded, while his left hand rests upon a tall vertical sceptre. A wreath symbol appears in the left field, and the Greek control mark delta (Δ) is visible beneath the throne in the lower field. The legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs downward along the right field in large Greek capitals. The composition follows the canonical Alexander-type reverse established under Alexander III.
