| Obverse description | Head of Herakles facing right, wearing the Nemean lion scalp headdress with the paws knotted at the throat, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with flowing locks of hair cascading behind. The facial features are boldly modelled, with a prominent brow, strong nose, and slightly parted lips conveying heroic idealism. A beaded border encircles the field. |

| Reverse description | Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left on a high-backed throne with ornate legs, his upper body nude and lower body draped, holding a long sceptre upright in his left hand and extending his right hand to present an eagle perched facing left. In the left field, a vertical thyrsus or torch serves as a control symbol. The mint ethnic ΑΡΓ appears in the lower exergual area beneath the throne, and the royal legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ reads downward along the right field. A ground line divides the exergue from the main field. |
