Reverse description Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left on a high-backed throne with ornate legs, his upper body nude and lower body draped, holding a long sceptre upright in his left hand and extending his right hand to present an eagle perched facing left. In the left field, a vertical thyrsus or torch serves as a control symbol. The mint ethnic ΑΡΓ appears in the lower exergual area beneath the throne, and the royal legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ reads downward along the right field. A ground line divides the exergue from the main field.
