Reverse description Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left on a high-backed throne with ornate legs, his muscular torso nude, lower body draped. He extends his right arm forward to support an eagle with wings closed, while his left hand rests upon a long sceptre. The Greek legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs vertically along the right field, with the monogram ΙΦ (civic magistrate symbol of Argos) positioned to the left of the throne. A beaded border frames the composition.
