Reverse description Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left on a backless throne, his nude torso rendered in high relief; he extends his right hand forward to support an eagle with closed wings, while his left hand grasps a tall sceptre rising vertically behind him. His feet rest on a low footstool. The Greek legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the right and lower fields. A corn-ear (grain symbol) appears as a mint control mark in the left field, identifying the issue to the Amphipolis mint.
