| Beschrijving keerzijde | Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left upon a high-backed throne, his upper body nude and his lower body draped. In his extended right hand he holds an eagle facing right, and in his left hand he grasps a tall sceptre. A small symbol appears in the left field beneath Zeus's outstretched arm, and globules are visible beneath the throne. The entire design is enclosed within a dotted border. The Greek legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the right and left fields, reading downward on the right (ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ) and upward on the left (ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ), identifying the coin as struck in the name of King Alexander. |
