The portrait is executed in fine Hellenistic style with strong facial modeling, prominent nose, and slightly parted lips. A beaded border frames the entire field. The type follows the canonical Alexander III coinage prototype, presenting the hero-god as the divine ancestor and patron of the Argead dynasty. |

| Описание реверса | Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left on a high-backed throne, his body semi-draped from the waist down, holding a long sceptre vertically in his left hand and extending his right hand to present an eagle perched and facing left. The legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs downward along the right field. In the left field appear control symbols including a caduceus above a crescent; below the throne the Amphipolis mint monogram ΑΜΦ or associated control marks are visible. The composition is enclosed within a beaded border and reflects the standard posthumous Alexander type struck at Amphipolis under the Antigonid administration. |
