| Obverse description | Youthful, beardless head of Heracles facing right, enveloped in the scalp of the Nemean lion, the jaws framing the crown of the head and the paws knotted at the throat. The hair is rendered in fine curling locks visible beneath the lion's mane, and the facial features display the idealised Lysippan style characteristic of the Alexandrine coinage tradition. A dotted border frames the field. |
