| Obverse description | Head of the deified Herakles in right profile, wearing the scalp of the Nemean lion as a headdress, the leonine jaws framing the upper brow and the paws knotted at the throat. The facial features display the idealized Hellenistic style characteristic of posthumous Alexandrine coinage, with full cheeks and a strong jaw. The border consists of a raised dotted bead-and-reel pattern encircling the entire field. |

| Reverse description | Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned to the left on a high-backed throne, his body nude to the waist and a himation draped over his lower limbs and left arm. In his outstretched right hand he holds a large eagle facing left, while his left hand grasps a tall sceptre. The Greek legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs vertically along the right field. In the left field, below Zeus's extended arm, appears a control symbol comprising what appears to be a caduceus or a related mint symbol, with a second small symbol below; a small figure or additional control mark is visible to the lower right of the throne. |
