| Beschrijving voorzijde | Facing right, the youthful head of Heracles rendered in fine Hellenistic style, wearing the scalp of the Nemean lion as a headdress, the beast's open jaws framing the forehead and the knotted forepaws draped across the neck. The hair is rendered in distinctive wavy locks curling behind the ear and at the nape, with strong facial modelling characteristic of the Sinopean mint's engraving tradition. |

The primary legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the right field. In the inner left field appear the mint control marks aplustre, the letter M, and the ethnic abbreviation ΣΙ; beneath the throne, the letter Θ appears above an additional monogram, serving as further magistrate or workshop controls specific to the Sinope issue. |
