In the left field, a monogram appears above a sphinx seated left, serving as the civic symbol of Chios. A second monogram is placed below the throne. The reverse inscription ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the right field, identifying the coin as issued in the name of Alexander. |
