| Obverse description | Youthful head of Heracles facing right, depicted beardless, wearing the Nemean lion skin headdress with the scalp covering the crown and the paws knotted at the throat. The portrait displays finely engraved curling locks of hair framing the face, rendered in the Hellenistic naturalistic style characteristic of posthumous Alexandrine coinage. The lion's mane and jawline are clearly delineated across the forehead and cheek, and the overall modeling reflects skilled die-cutting consistent with late-period Ionian mint production. |
