Obverse description Laureate head of Apollo in three-quarter facing view, turned slightly to right, rendered in fine archaic-influenced style; the god's hair falls in carefully articulated locks about the face; a chlamys, fastened with a clasp at the neck, is visible at the lower truncation. The portraiture reflects the Hellenizing artistic conventions prevalent in fourth-century Carian satrapal coinage.
