| Obverse description | Youthful, beardless head of Heracles facing right, identified by the distinctive lion skin headdress whose scalp and knotted forelegs are rendered in fine relief over his crown. The facial features follow the idealized Lysippan prototype established under Alexander III, with full curling locks framing the face. The flan is surrounded by a beaded border, and the overall style reflects the late Hellenistic workshop tradition of Chios. |

| Reverse description | Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left on a stool-throne without back, his right arm outstretched bearing an eagle and his left hand grasping a long sceptre. In the left field, the magistrate's monogram ΑΡ appears above a sphinx seated left atop a horizontal amphora, serving as the civic symbol of Chios. The magistrate name ΗΡΑΚΛΕΙΤΟΣ appears in the exergue or field, and the principal legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the reverse, identifying this as a posthumous issue struck in the name of Alexander the Great. |
