| 表面の説明 | Griffin springing to the left in high relief, depicted with eagle's head, prominent beak, and upswept wings, the body rendered with fine feather detail and powerful leonine haunches. The creature's forelegs are extended in a springing pose, with claws clearly articulated. A decorative beaded tendril element appears in the lower left field. The composition fills the flan with confident archaic energy, characteristic of the skilled Abderite die-cutters of the late fifth century BC. |

| 裏面の説明 | Youthful male head facing left, lightly bearded with tousled hair rendered in fine detail, set within a shallow linear square frame at the center of a deep incuse square. The magistrate's name ΗΓΗΣΑΓΟΡΗΣ (Hegesagores) is inscribed in Greek letters distributed around the four sides of the linear square, reading within the incuse field. This distinctive sunken square reverse with central portrait and encircling legend is a hallmark of Abderite civic coinage of the Classical period. |
