| Obverse description | Heroic nude bust of Eukratides I facing left, depicted in the Hellenistic warrior tradition with right arm raised in a javelin-throwing pose. The king is portrayed with idealized youthful features, wearing a crested Macedonian helmet adorned with a bull's ear and horn. A circular Greek legend surrounds the effigy, identifying the ruler as Great King Eukratides. The bold, high-relief portraiture reflects the accomplished die-cutting style characteristic of Baktrian royal coinage. |
