Obverse description Radiate head of Helios, rendered in high relief in the characteristic three-quarter facing right pose emblematic of Rhodian coinage. The solar deity is depicted with abundant, flowing wavy hair swept outward from the crown, with pronounced radiating rays emerging from the upper periphery of the head. The facial features are rendered with exceptional sculptural quality, displaying large almond-shaped eyes, a straight nose, and slightly parted lips, consistent with the finest die-cutting of the Hellenistic period. The field is plain, with the effigy dominating the entire flan.
