A small figure, likely an eagle or control symbol, appears beneath the throne on the left. The ethnic legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ is inscribed vertically to the right of Zeus, and the magistrate's name ΕΥΚΛΗС appears in the exergue below, identifying this issue as struck under the authority of the eponymous magistrate Eukles at Chios. |
