The laureate head is heavily abstracted, with a large almond-shaped eye, pronounced brow, and flowing curvilinear hair rendered as an elaborate spray of leaf-like locks radiating outward across the field. The facial features are schematically simplified, with the neck and jaw reduced to smooth, rounded forms.
