| Obverse description | Radiate bust of the usurper Domitianus II facing right, with radiate crown depicted as a series of spikes emanating from the head. The portrait is rendered in the late Roman provincial style typical of Alexandrian tetradrachms, with strong facial features and a cuirassed or draped shoulder visible at the bust truncation. The encircling Greek legend identifies the emperor by name and title. |
