Obverse description Youthful heroic head of Herakles facing right, wearing the Nemean lion scalp headdress, the mane rendered in flowing locks with fine engraving detail. The facial features display the idealized Lysippan style characteristic of late Alexandrine posthumous coinage, with a prominent brow, slightly parted lips, and a small pellet visible above the scalp. The portrait is set within a beaded border, occupying the full flan in the Hellenistic manner.
