Reverse description Poseidon Pelagaios, god of the open sea, stands in a striding pose to the left, his muscular nude figure depicted in the heroic manner of Hellenistic sculpture. He raises his right arm in preparation to hurl his trident, which he grasps firmly, projecting divine authority and martial power. His chlamys is draped over his extended left arm. In the left field appears the HP (or ΗΡ) control monogram, and to the right the ΠΑ control monogram. The legend ΔΗΜΗΤΡΙΟΥ ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ('of King Demetrios') is inscribed in the field, asserting the royal titulature adopted by Demetrius following his victory at Salamis.
