| Obverse description | Nike personified in three-quarter frontal view alights upon the prow of a warship (aphlaston) facing left, her wings spread dramatically behind her. She raises a long trumpet (salpinx) to her lips with her right hand and grasps a stylis (steering oar) in her left. The figure is rendered in dynamic Hellenistic style, conveying motion and divine victory, with drapery flowing against the wind. The galley prow, adorned with an apotropaic eye, occupies the lower register of the field. |

| Reverse description | Poseidon strides energetically to the left in the nude, his only adornment a wreath of reeds upon his head and a chlamys draped over his extended left arm. His right arm is raised aloft, poised to hurl a trident in a commanding martial gesture. The composition reflects the vigorous Hellenistic sculptural style associated with Lysippan influence. To the left of the figure appears the monogram AYN, and to the right the letter Σ as a mint or magistrate control mark. The reverse legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΔΗΜΗΤΡΙΟΥ, reading 'of King Demetrius,' frames the scene in Greek characters. |
