Obverse description Youthful, beardless head of Heracles facing right, depicted in three-quarter view, wearing the Nemean lion skin headdress with the scalp drawn over the crown and the forepaws knotted at the neck. The facial features are rendered in the idealized Hellenistic style, with finely modeled hair visible beneath the lion skin. The folds and mane of the pelt are rendered with bold, deeply cut relief characteristic of the Salaminian workshop. No legend or inscription appears in the field.
