| Obverse description | Youthful, beardless head of Heracles facing right, depicted in three-quarter view, wearing the Nemean lion skin headdress with the scalp drawn over the crown and the forepaws knotted at the neck. The facial features are rendered in the idealized Hellenistic style, with finely modeled hair visible beneath the lion skin. The folds and mane of the pelt are rendered with bold, deeply cut relief characteristic of the Salaminian workshop. No legend or inscription appears in the field. |

| Reverse description | Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left on a low stool-throne, his upper body nude and draped across the lap, holding an eagle perched on his outstretched right hand and a long sceptre upright in his left. A monogram appears in the left field, and the control mark Γ (gamma) is placed beneath the throne. The Greek legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the right and lower margins of the field, reading 'of King Alexander.' |
