Reverse description Poseidon Pelagaios stands nude in a dynamic pose, striding to the left with his right arm raised and extended forward holding a trident, and his left arm extended behind him. The god's muscular figure is rendered in the finest Hellenistic style. In the left field appears a Macedonian helmet (kausia) above a monogram; a star with rays appears in the right field. The Greek inscription ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΔΗΜΗΤΡΙΟΥ runs along the right and lower margins of the field, identifying the issuer as King Demetrius.
