| Obverse description | Diademed head of Demetrius I Poliorcetes facing right, wearing a diadem adorned with bull's horns — the divine attribute associating him with Poseidon — rendered in fine Hellenistic portrait style with flowing, elaborately curled hair falling behind the neck. The facial features are idealized yet individualised, conveying youthful authority and divine pretension characteristic of the Diadochi period. The portrait is set within a prominent beaded border encircling the entire flan. No inscription appears on the obverse. |

| Reverse description | Poseidon Pelagaios seated left on rocks, his nude muscular body depicted in a dynamic three-quarter pose, resting his left arm on a long trident planted vertically at his right side while extending his right hand forward holding an aplustre (ship's stern ornament). The god's chlamys drapes loosely across his thighs and the rocks beneath him. The royal legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ to the left and ΔΗΜΗΤΡΙΟΥ to the right flanks the central figure in vertical arrangement, with a monogram in the left field and the whole enclosed within a beaded border. |
