Obverse description Diademed and horned head of Demetrius I Poliorcetes facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair swept back in loose waves beneath the diadem. A small bull's horn emerges from the forehead, emblematic of divine associations with Poseidon. The portrait is executed in the vigorous Hellenistic style, with strong facial modeling and an assertive profile. The field is plain and the coin is bordered by a continuous beaded circle.
