The god holds a long trident upright in his left hand, a bold symbol of maritime dominion befitting Demetrius's naval ambitions. The royal legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΔΗΜΗΤΡΙΟΥ is disposed in two lines flanking the deity, with control monograms placed in the inner left and right fields. The composition is rendered with confident Hellenistic draftsmanship within a dotted border. |
