| Opis rewersu | Tyche, the goddess of fortune and city patroness, seated left upon a backless throne supported by a sphinx, rendered in flowing drapery in the Hellenistic style. In her raised right hand she holds a short scepter, while her left arm cradles a cornucopiae (horn of plenty), emblematic of prosperity and divine favor. To the left of the throne stands an owl facing right, a symbol associated with the mint of Soloi; above the owl appears the monogram ΝΚ, and to the right of the owl the monogram ΝΕ, serving as mint and magistrate control marks. The royal legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΔΗΜΗΤΡΙΟΥ runs along the periphery of the field in majuscule Greek characters, identifying the issuing monarch as King Demetrios. |
