Reverse description Eagle standing facing left, head turned to right, wings spread and displayed. A palm branch appears over the eagle's right wing, and the regnal year letter alpha (A) is positioned to the lower right, preceded by the regnal year indicator L, denoting Year 1 of the reign. The eagle, a hallmark type of Alexandrian tetradrachms, is rendered with detailed feathering across the body and wings. The composition is bold and centrally placed within the irregular flan.
