Reverse description Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned to the left upon a low stool-throne, his upper body nude and mantle draped across his lap and legs; his outstretched right hand bears an eagle with wings closed, while his left hand holds a long sceptre. In the left field, the letter Λ appears above a torch, serving as a control symbol. A monogram appears below the throne. The Greek legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the upper and right field, naming the coin in the genitive as belonging to Alexander.
