Obverse description Draped bust of the king facing right, rendered in the Central Asian Sogdian artistic tradition. The effigy wears an elaborate crown with cross-hatched diadem, crescent lunette, and scroll ornaments, characteristic of the Afrighid royal iconography. A long braided lock of hair descends behind the neck, and the face is depicted with a prominent eye and defined profile. A row of pellets borders the lower field, while the flan edge is irregular as typical of hammered Chorasmian coinage.
