Obverse description Bare-headed bust of Bagadates I facing right, displaying a short beard and mustache with pronounced facial features rendered in the local Perside style. The ruler wears a satrapal cap (kyrbasia) with the side flaps tied upward, a characteristic headgear of the Achaemenid and post-Achaemenid Persian tradition. A large circular earring adorns the ear, further emphasizing the regal and aristocratic presentation of the portrait. The effigy is rendered in high relief typical of early Persis coinage, reflecting both Hellenistic influence and indigenous Iranian artistic conventions.
