| Descripción del reverso | Arsaces I, the dynastic founder, depicted seated right on an omphalos throne, holding a strung bow in his right hand, within a beaded circular border that is itself enclosed within a vine or ivy wreath border filling the entire reverse field. A control mark appears in the upper central field. The Greek royal legend is inscribed in two lines above the central scene. The composition follows the established Parthian tetradrachm reverse type, combining dynastic reverence with Hellenistic artistic conventions as struck at Seleucia on the Tigris. |
