Tetradrachm - Archebios

Archebios ruled as one of the later Indo-Greek kings, his territory already compressed by Saka incursions pushing in from the northwest — the same migrations that would, within a generation, effectively end Greek rule in Baktria entirely. His coinage is bilingual, carrying Greek on one face and Kharosthi on the other, reflecting the administrative reality of governing a population that had long since ceased to be predominantly Hellenic.
