| 表面の説明 | Facing laureate head of Apollo rendered in a highly stylised Celtic-Dacian manner, with broad, flattened facial features and flowing hair falling in thick, undulating locks to either side of the face. The treatment of the hair terminates in distinctive curled tendrils at the lower extremities on each side. The die style reflects a progressive barbarisation of the original Macedonian prototype, with the face occupying the central field in near-full frontal aspect. No legend or inscription is present in the field. |

This type belongs to a broad family of Danubian Celtic imitations derived from the tetradrachms of Philip II of Macedon, filtered through successive copying by tribes whose die-cutters worked increasingly far from the Greek originals. By the time this variant emerged, the prototypes had passed through so many hands — Paeonians, Scordisci, Dacians — that the imagery had mutated into abstraction, the horse and rider fragmenting into schematic shorthand legible only within a regional visual tradition.
Attribution to a specific issuing tribe remains contested. Preda's placement in the Dacian sequence and Göbl's typological ordering both rely heavily on find-spot distributions from Romanian hoards rather than any documentary evidence.
