Obverse description Diademed portrait bust of Antiochos XIII Philadelphos facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic portrait tradition with finely engraved curling hair secured by a royal diadem, the ties of which fall behind the neck. The features are youthful and idealized, with a straight profile, delicate eye, and slightly parted lips characteristic of late Seleucid royal portraiture. The field is plain, and the bust is set within a plain circular border.
