| Obverse description | Diademed head of the young king Antiochos V Eupator facing right, rendered with youthful, rounded features characteristic of a child ruler; the royal diadem is tied at the nape with flowing ends visible behind the neck. The portrait exhibits the soft Hellenistic modeling typical of mid-second century BC Seleucid coinage, with curly hair framing the face. A monogram appears in the left field. The broad, slightly irregular flan reflects standard hammered production of the Ptolemaïs-Ake mint. |

The composition follows the canonical Seleucid reverse type established under Antiochos I. The Greek royal legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΝΤΙΟΧΟΥ runs in two lines flanking the deity, with monograms positioned in the outer left field, the outer right field, and two additional monograms in the exergue below, serving as mint and magistrate control marks specific to the Ptolemaïs-Ake issue. |
