| Reverse description | Apollo seated left on an omphalos, his nude body rendered in classical Hellenistic style, holding an arrow in his right hand and resting his left hand on a grounded bow. A monogram (CE) appears on the omphalos, serving as a mint or magistrate mark. The royal legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ runs vertically to the right and ΑΝΤΙΟΧΟΥ vertically to the left, flanking the central figure. A control mark (anchor or similar symbol) appears in the lower field. The composition is characteristic of standard Seleucid tetradrachm reverse types associated with Antiochos I. |
