Reverse description Apollo seated left upon an omphalos, his nude figure rendered in the classical Hellenistic tradition. In his extended right hand he holds an arrow, while his left arm rests upon a grounded bow. The royal legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ to the right and ΑΝΤΙΟΧΟΥ to the left flanks the central type, and monograms appear in the outer left and right fields, varying by emission. The composition closely follows the Seleucid dynastic reverse type established under Seleukos I.
