| Beschrijving voorzijde | Diademed head of Antiochos I Soter facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic portrait tradition with fine naturalistic detail. The king is depicted youthful and clean-shaven, with flowing wavy hair swept back from the brow and secured by a royal diadem, the ends of which fall behind the neck. The portrait displays high relief modeling characteristic of early Seleucid coinage struck at Sardes, with strong facial features and a commanding profile. The field is otherwise plain, with no legend on the obverse. |

The god holds a strung bow in his left hand and rests his right hand upon the omphalos at his side. A monogram appears in the left field. The vertical royal legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΝΤΙΟΧΟΥ is inscribed in two columns flanking the seated deity, identifying the issuer as King Antiochos. |
