The legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΝΤΙΓΟΝΟΥ runs along the right and lower fields, identifying the issuer as King Antigonos. A royal monogram appears in the inner left field. The composition reflects the canonical Macedonian royal reverse type derived from the coinage of Alexander the Great. |
