The ethnic legend ABYΔHNΩN is distributed across the upper field, reading partially to the left and right of the eagle, while the magistrate's name ΑΝΤΙΓΟΝΟΥ appears in the lower exergual area below a horizontal ground line. The composition follows the standard civic tetradrachm type of Abydos, combining the Ptolemaic eagle motif with local and eponymous magistrate references. |
