| Obverse description | Draped bust of Apollo facing right, wearing a laureate wreath with prominent leaf sprigs, his hair rendered in fine striated waves. A lyre is depicted in the right field behind the bust, a characteristic Apolline attribute. The portrait displays the Hellenistic artistic style typical of late second to early first century BC civic coinage from the Troad region. The entire design is enclosed within a neat border of raised dots. |

| Reverse description | An eagle with spread wings stands facing left atop a thunderbolt, its head turned to the right in a vigilant posture; a small horse or foal stands to the right in the field. The ethnic legend ABYΔHNΩN is distributed across the upper field, reading partially to the left and right of the eagle, while the magistrate's name ΑΝΤΙΓΟΝΟΥ appears in the lower exergual area below a horizontal ground line. The composition follows the standard civic tetradrachm type of Abydos, combining the Ptolemaic eagle motif with local and eponymous magistrate references. |
